I'm sharing a very nostalgic recipe today... my Nana's Chocolate Munch! For as long as I remember, growing up and living far away from our grandparents, a highlight of a visit to my Dad's mum, my Nana, was the delicious chocolate munch she ALWAYS had waiting for our arrival. She also had another recipe which I will share at a later date, a delicious Lemon Ice Cake. As this is an original recipe, if I were to try to describe and explain what 'Munch' is, its a chocolatey almost flapjack like consistency with a generous helping of melted Galaxy on top for the ultimate creamy and indulgent afternoon snack. Best served with a coffee and TV binge session in my opinion! I hope you love my Nana's Chocolate Munch as much as I do and would absolutely love you to share and tag me in your pictures if you try it out yourself!

During this strange and uncertain time we're living in, one thing myself and Tom have been doing at least twice a week with friends and family, is a virtual Pub Quiz night! We've been thoroughly enjoying doing it and honestly, when all is back to normal and people have their own plans each week, virtual pub quiz night may not stick around forever which makes me very sad! Who knows, maybe we all feel the same and may agree to continue the lockdown tradition even outside of lockdown...

A regular step to my weekly routine now includes making the delicious lemon & ginger tonic recipe I first discovered on Lydia Millen's blog. Since then, I've seen so many variations on this tonic recipe but for me the below recipe works best. You can enjoy this as a refreshing cordial with soda water and ice, or with hot water as a natural tea. I personally like the bitter lemon taste and zingy ginger so I also enjoy a shot of it first thing to kickstart my morning.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

For as long as I can remember, even as a young child, once I wake I have to get up, let in the morning light and start my day. I know not everyone can say the same so it's definitely a characteristic of mine that I am fortunate to have. By getting up early, making the bed and getting dressed, I find I have a far more productive day, and I honestly think that's why working from home and being self-employed works well for me.
